Wave 6 Preview and Giveaway!

We’re making progress on the next round of adventurers as voted on by you our backers and can finally reveal the first Ancestry that will be joining A&A for Wave 6: Female Demonkin!
OK, I’ll admit this shouldn’t have come as a big surprise to me as it did. The male Demonkin have been incredibly popular, so it seems reasonable that you’d want females as well. We just didn't think it would be so high on your list. Over the coming weeks we'll be showing off not 1 but 2 more Ancestries which will be coming with Wave 6. For now, let’s get on to the renders!

You’ve all had your Wave 5 minis for about 2 months now and we’d love to see what you’ve created but maybe you’re a little overwhelmed with choice paralysis? We’ll have we got a fun adventure for you! Tonight at 6pm PST (9pm EST) A&A is sponsoring the June speed paint from the Speed Paint Guild. That’s right, join some of the most entertaining mini painters on Twitch and see what they can do with only an hour to paint a mini.
The best part is you can paint right along for a chance to win prizes! Paint along with one of our A&A minis and submit your photo at the end of the stream to the SPeed Paint Guild Discord for a chance to win a full Ancestry of your choice. I think we can all agree the best way to get over the backlog of minis is to get MORE minis!
OK so, we’re actually going to give away 3 full sets of ancestries! But wait I hear you say, you said you’re giving away 1 set tonight. Well that’s true, but we understand that maybe todays not the best day for you, we all have lives after all, so we’re going to be opening up submissions to our social media for the next 2 weeks as well. All you have to do is snap a picture of your progress after an hour of painting and tag both A&A minis in it on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook and The Speed Paint Guild with #speedpaintguild. The A&A staff will be choosing a second winner, and the community will get to choose a third winner by liking their favorite submission! Final submissions and votes due by June 22nd, winner announced during our June 23rd stream.

FINALLY! Backerkit is LIVE!

At long last Backerkit has approved the survey! Smokescreen is live as of today. As long as everything works correctly with the sample group (5% of each pledge level) we should be able to get the survey out to everyone tomorrow! Wow, it seriously feels like that took forever, but it's OK from this point forward everything is in our hands.
This is the place where we really need your help as backers so we can get orders moving. We plan to begin fulfilment as early as next Friday April 9th. You know, just a cool 3 months early! Anyone whose got their order finalized will be in the first wave.
If you need a little more time, we will leave Backerkit open until April 30th.
As soon as you are ready to finalize your order please do so. This will allow us to get to work on fulfilling.

We’re thrilled to be so close to completing another wonderful Kickstarter thanks to the support of all of our amazing backers!
If we could just take a moment to go over what to expect in the coming weeks. Our Kickstarters are very tight products and if you’re new to us the speed might catch you off guard. So, once the KS has ended we’re going to need all of the help possible from our backers, and our returning supporters in order to fulfill this Kickstarter ahead of schedule.
For anyone unfamiliar with how KS works I’m just going to give a brief overview of what the coming weeks are going to look like once the KS has completed.
2 weeks after the close of the KS we’ll be sent our list of backers and the KS funds. Once we get our grubby little hands on them, we’ll be able to send out the Backerkit survey!
This is the single most important thing you as backers can do to help get orders moving.
Backerkit will be open for about 2 weeks so you can figure out exactly what you would like to purchase. However, that doesn’t mean you have to wait the 2 weeks to fill it out. As soon as you are ready to finalize your order please do so. This will allow us to get to work on fulfilling it immediately. The quicker you complete those surveys the quicker the new toys go out.
But what are we going to do until those emails are handed over?!? Well, ss supporters of A&A it’s incredibly important to us that you’re involved in the direction of our products. On Wednesday we’ll be posting a link in an update to take the Ancestry survey. Your votes will help us figure out what we’ll be making for the Wave 7 campaign!!!
That’s the big news and game plan. Just a quick update so you know we’re still here and love and appreciate you. Over the next 2 days we wrap up the KS, and get to work immediately on production!

Add-On Showcase and Twitch Stream Schedule

As promised last week, today we'll be doing a little more of a deep dive into the various add-ons available from the Wave 5 Kickstarter!
Who doesn't love a pile of shinny math rocks? With previous Waves we offered custom aluminum d20's, but based on backer feedback for Wave 5 we switched over to a full set of metal alloy dice and were very fortunate that the fine folks over at Norse Foundry offered us a custom set of their popular Norse Dice sets. That's right, the purple enamel with gold border is available exclusively to A&A backers!
With each new wave we try to off a special thank you to our returning backers. Our Cobblestone Bases were the Wave 4 thank you. If you missed out on them with Wave 4, or maybe you just want some more, we've made them available to everyone! Why shouldn't our adventurers have some nice snazzy bases representing all kinds of fun locations? This add-on comes with 3 25mm bases, unpainted.
Animal companions are a backer favorite, and these are the minis it all started with! Available as a 3 pack featuring owl familiar, armored wolf ranger companion, and winged cat, this pack is a great starting point for anyone who wants to add some critters to their adventure.
Our second set of animal companions features Drew the Badger, an adorable owlbear pup(cub? hatchling?), and pseudodragon familiar. These adorable critters are ready to find their forever homes.
Our Magic Item set contains sculpts representative of some of the most sought after magic items from the known realms. Use this accessory pack to help bring even more character to your character.
Shields are another great way you can add further customization to your miniatures and our Shield set comes with 6 styles ranging from historic examples to fantasy deity icons.
Containing enough magnets to fully magnetize an A&A miniature should you so desire, this add-on is perfect for anyone wishing to maximize the customization options of their miniature. Each magnet is 1/8 by 1/16 please be aware that due to the variation in size for our ancestries this magnets might not be the proper size for ll ancestries.
Regardless of your pledge level you can add an extra $12 for an additional Wave 5 mini.

We had a time painting up Menko and Guhrta on stream yesterday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Today we've got a bit of a treat, which is going to be joining us to paint up an orc she assembled from pieces of all 3 kits and I will be painting up some squigs for Squig Day! Join us at 6pm PST.
And tomorrow we'll be painting up the terrain from last weekends dollar store challenge starting at 5pm PST.
